This year, we are working with Abby Turner, a local community artist, to explore how art helps us laugh, heal, and connect with others. Abby is in training as an Art Therapist, and loves seeing people who don’t think they can’t ‘do art’ surprise themselves.
Community art projects focus on the experience of making something together. It’s not about skill or talent. People of all ages and all abilities can take part. All that’s needed is a willingness to join in.
The first three art days are in October, and are part of the Accidental Saints project. We’ll be playing around with what makes people saints: goodness, kindness, courage, love. And we’ll be celebrating the people we know who do amazing things, everyday.
