25 May – 4 June 2017
This year, the Waltham Group is joining in with other churches throughout the world for 10 Days of prayer between Ascension and Pentecost. The idea is that we pray – wherever we can, however we can – knowing that we are part of something much bigger than we are.
To help us pray — and to offer hospitality to those in the community who want to pray — we will have prayer stations set up in New Waltham that will help us encounter God in new ways. At the centre of the space there will be a labyrinth. All around and in the garden there will be crafts and prayer-prompts and simple activities — and as often as possible, tea and cake and sometimes soup.
There’s more information in the magazine, and we’ll post opening times here and on the facebook page nearer the time. But for now, please mark the dates in your diary. We’re also looking for helpers to sit in church and welcome people, make tea & coffee, and to bake cakes. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to help.
