Church Open

Sundays in New Waltham

We are beginning to return to the church buildings.

Every Sunday in August, there is a Eucharist at St Matthew’s, New Waltham at 10 am. Numbers are limited by the need for social distancing, so we ask that you reserve a place by leaving a message on the rectory phone: 01472 822 172.

Wednesdays in Waltham

On Wednesdays, All Saints Waltham will be open for quiet prayer from 10 am – 12 noon. Come light a candle, or just sit and enjoy the quiet.

Looking Ahead

In September, if all is well and lockdown is still easing, we will begin a fuller pattern of worship in Waltham and New Waltham. So long as Covid regulations are in place, we will need to be much more flexible about how we share worship around the group and around the Deanery, and whatever your ‘normal church’, you are invited to join in wherever there is worship, and wherever there is space available. The hope is that there will be one or two Eucharists in the Waltham Group each Sunday in September. We will also resume baptisms on two Sundays a month.

Online Worship

Online worship has now become a part of our life, and will remain so for those who are not able to gather in church, and for those who are curious about church, but want an easy way to test the waters.

We broadcast Morning Prayer on Facebook daily Monday – Saturday at 8.30 am (occasionally allowing the clergy a day off by joining in with the wider church).

There is a pre-recorded Eucharist, with music and images, each Sunday, available here on the webpage from 7 am, or you can watch together on Facebook at 9am.

However you join in, we look forward to seeing you, and to sharing worship with you this season.
